HAWKTHORNE WOODS INCIDENT ARCHIVE
The following information has been compiled from:
recovered camera footage
archived video logs
witness statements
and material uploaded by independent researcher Frankie Hale prior to his disappearance.
Authorities have not officially verified the authenticity of the recordings.
However, following multiple missing persons reports connected to Hawkthorne Woods and the old quarry access road, investigators continue monitoring the area.
Residents are advised not to enter Hawkthorne Woods after dark.
THE FRANKIE HALE LOGS
Three days before disappearing, local blogger and folklore researcher Frankie Hale stopped uploading to his web journal unexpectedly.
Friends later discovered scheduled emails sent shortly before his disappearance containing:
video recordings
map coordinates
screenshots from local missing persons forums
and folders labelled:
SIGHTINGS
One recovered email carried the subject line:
“If I disappear, watch this.”
The footage showed Frankie becoming increasingly distressed while documenting what he described as:
“a pattern.”
In the recordings, Frankie repeatedly references individuals who:
return behaving differently
fail to react emotionally in normal ways
and appear unable to maintain natural eye contact
One statement appears multiple times throughout his logs:
“It’s in the eyes. They don’t land right.”
THE HAWKTHORNE WOODS INVESTIGATION
Following Frankie’s disappearance, friends Charlie Mercer and Hannah Wells travelled to Hawkthorne Wood using coordinates attached to Frankie’s emails.
Recovered footage from Charlie’s camera documents:
entry into restricted woodland near the old quarry road
symbols carved into tree bark
abandoned belongings believed to belong to Frankie
and unidentified vocalisations originating deeper within the woods
The footage also captures handwritten notes recovered from Frankie’s bag reading:
“it imitates doesn’t understand people ”“do not answer if it calls from the dark ”“if you think it’s someone you know, check the eyes”
One final line appears carved hard enough to tear through the paper:
“IT KNOWS MY NAME”
We are still attempting to repair the files in Charlie's Camera and hope we can use these to find him and Hannah and maybe finally get the answers we are all so desperately waiting for.
